3 ANTIQUE PORCELAIN BISQUE DOLLS Made in Japan One Jointed Arms and Legs
These 3 antique porcelain / bisque dolls were among several items in a keepsake box of my mother in law, who passed away at 87 years old in 2011. 1.) The tall blonde is about 6 inches tall 2 inches wide at the arms. Her shorts are made of tightly bound thread. Her back is marked “Made in Japan”, but the “Made in” portion appears to be stamped over some numbers. Below the mark there is a “B” inside a circle. 2.) The second one is 3 3/8” tall by 1 ¼” wide at the arms. She does have a chip out of the back of her hat and her head was glued back on at some time. Marked “Made In Japan” with the number “C18” on her back. 3.) The third one is 3 ¼ inches tall by 1 ½ inches at the knees. The arms and legs are jointed with a heavy gauge wire. Marked “Made In Japan”. All three appear to be hand painted, though the third one has very little paint left.
